Guinness World Records Boycotts Israel, No Longer Accepts Applications
Guinness World Records has suspended all dealings with Israel, a move that includes blocking new submissions and refusing to certify records linked to the country. According to Israel’s Channel 12, the decision came to light after a volunteer organisation, Gift of Life, attempted to register a record recognising 2,000 Israeli kidney donors whose donations saved lives. The group said Guinness rejected the application, describing the decision as politically motivated. Guinness has not publicly issued a detailed explanation for the suspension or the rejection, but the move effectively freezes any new Israeli-related record attempts, including those tied to humanitarian or medical achievements.
