Turkish Red Crescent Sends Humanitarian Ship to Gaza for Ramadan, Plans to Serve 1.8 Million Meals

The Turkish Red Crescent dispatched its 21st “Ship of Goodness” carrying humanitarian supplies bound for Ga-za Strip on 19 February 2026, departing from Mersin International Port, according to image-verified reporting from Anadolu-distributed media. The vessel was photographed preparing to sail with Ramadhan aid cargo, confirming the shipment as part of the organization’s ongoing maritime relief operations.

The group states the shipment contains food packages, hygiene supplies, clothing, blankets, shelter materials, and baby necessities collected through nationwide donations. Aid convoys from Türkiye typically transit through El‑Arish Port before entering Ga-za via coordinated delivery channels with regional humanitarian partners, a route widely used for relief transfers into the enclave during the genocide.

The dispatch marks one of the largest single consignments the organization has sent since the October 2023 escalation of the war on Ga-za, and follows multiple previous maritime deliveries. Turkish Red Crescent officials say food distribution capacity inside Ga-za has recently been expanded, with daily meal output reportedly doubled during Ramadan operations as part of emergency relief scaling.
